Raster images

  1- Adobe illustrator

 is a vector graphics editor developed and marketed by Adobe Inc. Originally designed for the Apple Macintosh. 

•    Along with Creative Cloud (Adobe's shift to monthly or annual subscription service delivered over the Internet), Illustrator CC was released. 
• The latest version, Illustrator CC 2019, was released in October 2018 and is the 23rd generation in the product line. 

   Adobe Illustrator was reviewed as the best vector graphics editing program in 2018 by PC Magazine.

2-  CorelDRAW

       is a vector graphics editor developed and marketed     by Corel Corporation.

     It is also the name of the Corel graphics suite, which includes

•  bitmap-image editor Corel Photo-Paint 
•  other graphics-related programs

The latest version is marketed as CorelDraw Graphics Suite 2019 (equivalent to version 21), and was released in 12 March, 2019.

 Corel Draw is designed to edit two-dimensional images such as

3-  Xara Designer Pro

  is an image editing program incorporating

•  photo editing 
•  vector illustration tools

 It is created by British software company 

• Xara
•  Xara Xtreme LX was an early open source version for Linux.

The Windows version was previously sold under the names

•  Xara Studio
•  Xara X 
•  Xara Xtreme

 - traces its origin in the late 1980s to a title called Art Works for the Acorn Archimedes line of computers using RISC OS. 

There is a pro version called Xara Designer Pro (formerly Xara Xtreme Pro).

1. The current commercial version of Xara Photo & Graphic Designer runs only on Windows.
2. although Xara documents can be edited in a web browser on any platform using the Xara Cloud service. 
3. Versions up to 4.x can be run on Linux using Wine.

4- Inkscape

 is a free and open source vector graphics editor.

 This software can be used to create or edit vector graphics such as

•  diagrams
•  line arts
•  charts
•  logos 
•  complex paintings.

 Inkscape's primary vector graphics format is Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG); however, many other formats can be imported and exported.

  Inkscape can render primitive vector shapes e.g. 

•  rectangles
•  ellipses
•  polygons
•  arcs
•  spirals
•  stars
•  3D boxes
•  text.

 - These objects may be filled with solid colors, patterns, radial or linear color gradients. 

 - Their borders may be stroked, both with adjustable transparency.

 - Embedding and optional tracing of raster graphics is also supported, enabling the editor to create vector graphics from photos and other raster sources.
